Our Privacy Philosophy
Last Updated: April 8, 2026Genuine Privacy
Promptheus was built with a simple premise: your creative process is yours alone. We believe that a prompt manager should be a local utility, not a cloud service. We do not want your data, we do not track your usage, and we do not have "accounts."
Local Storage
Everything you do in Promptheus stays on your Mac. Your library of prompts, your variable names, and your history are stored in a local database within your macOS Application Support folder.
- No Cloud Sync: We do not host your prompts on our servers.
- No Account Required: There is no signup process. You are anonymous to us.
- File Integrity: Your data is stored in the standard macOS sandbox.
Third-Party AI Services
Promptheus is a "launcher." When you fill a prompt and it is copied to your clipboard, you then paste that content into services like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
Please be aware that once you paste your text into these third-party platforms, their respective privacy policies and data usage terms apply. Promptheus itself never sends your prompts to these services via API.
Telemetry & Tracking
We do not use Google Analytics, cookies, or tracking pixels on this website or within the app. The app may occasionally check for updates via the Mac App Store, which is handled entirely by Apple’s standard infrastructure.
Questions?
